Data+ governance
Hierarchy, source authority, reference data, steward locks, approval workflows and write-back.
Governance (/app/data-plus/mastering/governance) is where you manage the policies that decide how golden records are formed and changed. Sensitive changes always show a preview and are audited.
Governance home
- Hierarchy lifecycle — create relationships with a preview, classify organizations, end relationships with downstream preview. Business and acquisition hierarchies are independent; cycles are blocked and ultimate-parent impact is shown before you commit.
- Source authority — compare the inherited policy with your override and see exactly which golden Parties would change before saving.
- Reference data — create workspace code sets, maintain values, bind them to semantic attributes and preview crosswalk impact before publishing. Readiness scans real source values and opens blockers for anything without a crosswalk.
- History — open and completed work stays searchable, with a combined timeline of Data+ changes.
Steward locks (/governance/locks)
A lock pins the value of one attribute. An explicit lock wins over authority and survivorship rules; changing it clears the previous lock, audits the decision and recomputes the golden value.
Approval workflows (/governance/workflows)
Configure which Data+ decisions require approval and by whom. Precedence is: workspace override → platform default → safe fallback. Policy can only restrict; workspace roles remain the upper bound.
Write-back (/governance/writeback)
Propose golden-value corrections back to connected systems. Only corrections whose lineage identifies the exact source record, field, domain and version are offered — never arbitrary payloads. Workspace admins set the policy; stewards preview and approve individual changes. Only transient failures can be retried, and before every retry Blocchi re-reads the source: any drift becomes a conflict that needs a fresh review.
Reference extensions (/governance/reference-extensions)
Add values to platform reference sets that are explicitly marked extensible. Your values are visible only in your workspace.
